Biography

Nicolette Prashad is a PhD student at the Centre for Criminology and Sociolegal Studies at the University of Toronto. Nicolette graduated with a BSocSc (Hons.) in Criminology and in Feminist and Gender Studies in 2023 from the University of Ottawa, where she also completed her MA in Criminology in 2025. She is broadly interested in studying policing and surveillance, with particular attention to political dissent and the role of technology in these practices.
