Description

Join CRIMSA on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm at University College (15 King's College Cir) in Room UC248 to attend a guest lecture from Professor Dylan Clark, who is from the department of Contemporary Asian Studies and Department of Anthropology at U of T.

Professor Clark, an expert in both law and urban studies, will deliver a lecture exploring cultural perceptions of crime across Asia. He emphasizes the importance of analyzing crime through perspectives that go beyond conventional Western frameworks, illustrating how these narrow narratives perpetuate harmful stereotypes and reinforce racism toward countries like Pakistan and Japan.

We will be serving light refreshments at this free event. Registration is required.
