Ashoka Africa's Instagram post on June 26, 2025, announced Shonibare's fellowship stating, "Bukky Shonibare is advancing gender equity through the power of data. We’re proud to welcome Bukky Shonibare to the Ashoka Fellowship — and to celebrate her groundbreaking work with Invictus Africa in Nigeria’s gender justice space. Bukky is transforming how government, civil society, and media approach gender equality — not through guesswork, but through data. She’s bridging the “missing link” by equipping stakeholders with clear, up-to-date information that drives smarter policies, stronger programs, and targeted resource allocation. Her work not only highlights injustice — it paves the way for evidence-based action and long-term systems change."
