Description
“Primary Sources in Criminology” is a workshop led by Danielle Van Wagner, Librarian at the Centre for Criminology and Sociolegal Studies Library.
Many classes in criminology require students to use and cite primary sources, which can often be challenging to understand and use. During this session, we will define primary sources, where and how to locate them in a criminology context, and how to analyze them for your papers and reports. You will have the opportunity to interact with primary sources available through the Criminology and Sociolegal Studies Library, including government documents, archives, court cases, interviews, and prisoners' writing, as well as learn tips and tricks for locating primary sources online.
Don't miss this chance to enhance your research skills and streamline your academic success!
Coffee and snacks will be provided.
