About UTEA awards

UTEA awards provide undergraduate students with the opportunity to conduct a summer research project under a faculty member’s supervision. UTEA applications are jointly submitted by the student and the faculty member who will supervise and oversee the research project. The award period is 14 full weeks during the summer term. The benefits for students include an increased appreciation for the investigative methodology of areas of particular interest, and better-informed decisions about pursuing careers in research.
