A digital exhibition launched today by the Criminology Library celebrates the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Centre for Criminology and Sociolegal Studies at University of Toronto.
"The Phenomena of Crime and All the Training Required": Sixty Years at the Centre for Criminology is built from the library's extensive archives and publication holdings. The exhibit explores the writings, research and special projects of CrimSL faculty, staff, and students over the last six decades.
Take a historical tour of the rich history deriving from the Centre’s archival materials, a collection that is currently housed and accessible to interested students and faculty at the Centre for Criminology’s Library. Our exhibition tells the story of the evolution of the Centre, capturing the essence of its early records from the late 1950s and chronicling its achievements through the dynamic decades until the 2000s.
