A warm CrimSL welcome to Liz Ukrainetz, Administrative Assistant to the Research Cluster for the Study of Racism and Inequality

December 6, 2023 by Patricia Doherty

A warm welcome to Liz Ukrainetz, who joined CrimSL in November 2023 as Administrative Assistant to the Research Cluster for the Study of Racism and Inequality.

Liz has worked in administrative support for many years, most recently as Program Administrator for a five-year Global Affairs Canada program which took place in several cities in South Africa.

She managed an alternative labour magazine for many years. She also worked at post-secondary institutions in the past, and is pleased to be working again in an academic environment.

Liz received a HBA in Fine Arts Studies from York University and has taken many non-degree courses in different areas, from accounting to html to life drawing. Throughout her career, she has balanced her interest in the arts and commitment to social justice. She is an avid reader and loves to learn how things work, both theoretically and practically. She enjoys hands-on DIY projects.

She is encouraged by the strides in justice movements enabled by social media in the last few years and appreciates the opportunity to support the work of the CrimSL Research Cluster for the Study of Racism and Inequality.

Please join us in welcoming Liz!
